My 5 Favorite MAC Products!

2015/01/img_3561.jpg
Hello Ladies & happy Tuesday! Yesterday my beautiful bestie shared with you her top 5 favorite drugstore cosmetics. Today I will be sharing my 5 favorite MAC Products. If you are anything like me you LOVE MAC! I swear I’m like a kid in a candy store.

I have tried many drugstore foundations & have not yet found one that I am impressed with. I am all about FULL COVERAGE. Studio Sculpt by MAC is like the holy grail of foundations. It lasts me all day & I never have to worry about my makeup separating.

You know those days where you wake up looking like a troll? You look in the mirror & think how on earth am I going to fix these massive bags under my eyes? Well, yes you’ve guessed it MAC has a solution for you & it’s called Select Cover-Up . After putting this on I feel like a whole new fresh-faced woman.

I have a secret for you ladies! I am OBSESSED with powder & quite frankly I might be a little too obsessed. If there is even a glimmer of oil on my face I apply powder like crazy. The problem is that some powders are very thick & may leave you with that “caked on look” if too much is applied. That’s why I love MAC’s Mineralize Skinfinish. I apply this stuff constantly and have never found my make-up to be “cakey”.

Now, let’s be honest we all want to look like a naturally beautiful little woodland elf. This blush color Melba makes you look like just that.

Last, but most certainly not least we have lipstick. I have been wearing the shade Snob any chance I get. The color is bright & happy & gives you that extra little pop of color.

I hope you enjoyed my Top 5 MAC Products! If you guys have any makeup products that you would like to share with us please place them in a comment below!

5 Favorite Drug Store Make-Up Products

IMG_4273

Happy Monday! So today I want to talk about make-up, one of my favorite things!  However, I hate how sometimes make up can be a little pricey.  Don’t get me wrong, I love the big name make up brands like MAC, Lancome, Clinique, and Benefit, but there are some products that I prefer to buy at a drugstore (Target is my favorite).  I have compiled a list of 5 of my favorite  drugstore products that I have in my make-up bag that I LOVE! Hope you enjoy!

1.  NYX Liquid Illuminator

This highlighter is one of my favorite make up items! Mixed with a good contour, this highlighter gives you the perfect glowing, fresh faced look! (Be on the lookout for a highlighting tutorial in the near future)

2. NYX Setting Spray

My make up never feels complete without a setting spray to finish the look.  I have tried many different setting sprays and I can honestly say this one is my favorite. This spray sets your make-up and helps it last through the day.  I prefer the Dewy Finish look, but this product also comes in a Matte Finish as well.

3. Elf Cream Eyeliner

I have always been a huge fan of cream eyeliners.  In the past I would spend a lot of money to get the perfect eyeliner until I found this gem! Only $1 and it works just as well as every other cream eyeliner I have tired.  Seriously, if you haven’t tried it you should!

4. Revlon Brow Fantasy

I love this two in one eyebrow pencil and gel (You can tell from the picture that I clearly use mine a lot!).  It helps create the perfect shade and shape for your eyebrows! Love it!

5. Maybeline Full and Soft Mascara

Out of all of my make-up products, I am most picky about my mascara.  I am constantly changing brands to try and find the perfect one.  Recently, I came across this one and I have to say it may be a keeper! It makes my eyelashes look full, long, and beautiful.  Out of all the drug store mascaras, this one is my favorite.

I hope you enjoy the products on this list as much as I do! Feel free to comment and let us know some of your favorite drug store  make-up products! Have a fabulous week! xoxo

The Infamous Contour

Let’s talk contour!

Now I know what you’re all thinking, contouring is not an easy art. Does this go there? What do I use to contour? Why does it take so long? Is this supposed to blend? Well, fear no more! I am here to show you a quick & easy way to contour. Hooray!

IMG_3293

The first thing you are going to need is The Sculptor pen by Tarte (found at Sephora or Ulta)! This pen makes it so easy to contour & has a very easy application.

Here is a look at where you should be applying your pen. Underneath your jawline, on both sides of your cheeks (right underneath your cheekbone), on your nose as shown above & on your forehead (I usually go from side to side). Keep in mind this pen glides on very easily so don’t use too much pressure or you might ruin your pen. . .yikes!!!

The next think you are going to need is your E.L.F. cosmetics Small Stipple Brush!

IMG_3296

Keep your head up we’re almost done! You guessed it. . .now we blend! I like to blend the pen in a circular motion. Think of it as a pencil eraser, now you don’t want to make it so that your contour disappears altogether, but you don’t want to look like a comic book character either. The goal is to find the in between.

And there you have it! The finished product. Fast & affective! I hope you found this tutorial easy. If you have any questions please feel free to ask!
